Food insecurity is bad for health and is a serious social and public health problem in Canada.Food insecurity refers to not having enough food or worrying there is not enough to eat because of a lack of money. Every year, the Health Unit compares the incomes and expenses of several household income scenarios to show how much money would be left over for families and individuals after paying for housing and food. |
